Andy Lamb Golf Academy©2008
Andy Lamb started teaching golf in 1983 at Hankley Common Golf Club in Surrey, England. Since then his passion for teaching has grown to the extent that in June 2001 he decided to devote his full attention to teaching and he created his own golf academy at Piperdam Golf and Leisure Resort near to Dundee in Scotland. His golf academies have now moved to Strathmore Golf Centre near Alyth and Middlebank Golf Centre near Dundee.
Andy's notable teaching achievements with golfers of all standards (beginners, club golfers, county, international and professional golfers see his testimonials page) has led to him participating in the Titleist team of teaching professionals at the Benson and Hedges International Open at the Oxfordshire 1996-1999.In 2002 and 2005 he worked with other PGA professionals at the Royal and Ancient Junior Open tent at the Open Championship at Muirfield and St Andrews respectively. In 2003 and 2004 he again worked with bringing golf to the masses this time at the PGA / Bryant Homes road show at the the Gyle Centre in Edinburgh.
Andy has also been a
major contributor to Today's Golfer publication featuring in issues discussing
ways to cure slicing, ways to give you more power off the tee, 4 ways to get
out of tricky positions etc. All of these articles have deliberately been
written in an easy to understand format and Andy is keen on the use of drills
that are innovative and can be easily understood and taken on board by the
pupil at home or on the driving range. Andy also firmly believes in the importance
of using drills to transfer feelings quickly and easily into the pupil's muscles
and therefore make it easier for the pupil to understand what movements are
required of him to improve his/her golf swing. Andy also currently contributes
instructional articles to National Club Golfer and Lady Golfer magazines.
